Generations of Mincey folk have found innovative ways to consume time for no apparent reason. Poker is our main game, so I have an extensive collection of cards, poker games for Mac and iPhone.
Previous Mincey generations were into jigsaw puzzles and dominoes. For the former, I just never had the patience. For the latter, it can be addictive but maybe not for the reasons you suspect.
The latest game to grace my Mac is called Domino and it’s a good onscreen version of the classic dominoes with plenty of options to keep it from getting boring. It’s just missing one exciting feature found in real life dominoes.
Not only can you play domino by yourself, you can play against others, play against your Mac, and even use the Online Game Mode to play with other Domino players elsewhere in the world.
Domino comes with a variety of screen styles and different colored digital dominoes. It’s not expensive, either. You’ll pay more for a combo at McDonald’s.
There’s no way that I can find to play dominoes the way I really want in Domino. I want to have an unlimited number of dominoes that can be stacked on end and placed side by side so I can knock them over.
That’s a worthy feature.
