Back in day, local weather forecasts were a hit or miss proposition. TV weather folk would make a guesstimate, then the weather would be different, and we’d all have a good laugh (or, cry, depending upon circumstances).
Today, I can get weather conditions for nearly any populated spot on the planet right on my iPhone. For Mac users who watch the weather there’s Living Earth— a weather app and world clock unlike any you’ve ever seen (unless you’ve used Living Earth on your iPhone).
Think weather and time for pretty much any or every location on planet earth. Near real-time satellite cloud data is included so you can view global cloud patterns, tropical storms, hurricanes, and other weather disturbances from the comfort of the Mac’s screen.
Living Earth lives in your Mac’s Menubar so you’re merely a click away from time and weather conditions for cities and locales you follow. But that’s not all.
Forecasts range from two hours to seven days. As the earth rotates, so does the day and night shadows across the globe– all on your Mac’s screen.
Living Earth not only displays weather conditions and time throughout the world, but also triples up as a live Desktop wallpaper app which updates weather conditions while you watch, and works as a live screensaver, too. As weather changes throughout the world so does Living Earth.
Nicely done, remarkably inexpensive, and there’s a version for both Mac and iPhone.
