Take ShareMate. Please. It’s a utility that more or less does what Dropbox already does– let you share files with others. The difference is that ShareMate makes it easier to do right from the Mac’s Menubar.
No uploading of files to the public Dropbox folder, no hassles to get others to subscribe to a the same file sharing service. Two clicks and files or folders are available for sharing on Dropbox.
Open the Mac’s Finder. Right-click on a file or folder of files you want to share. Click on the menu ‘Share using ShareMate.’ That is all. The file or folder of files will be uploaded automatically and you get a link to the file or folders which you can use to share with others. All you need is a Dropbox account.
ShareMate doesn’t care much about what files you share, either. Documents, photos, drawings, spreadsheets, presentations, music or video clips. Click, click, it uploads and gives you a link.
What’s that little extra simplicity worth?
