Here’s the dirty little secret about email. It’s messy. From Mac to PC, from iPhone to iPad, we have and use many different apps to handle email.
That means some email messages get stuck on the server and just seem to stay there forever. Here’s a free app that gets rid of the email that refuses to be deleted or that you don’t need anymore but won’t download to your email app.
The name is a bit goofy but the price is right and there are few apps that do exactly the same thing. MyPopBarrier is free to use to log into your email account, list all the email messages still there, and gives you an option to delete what messages you don’t want to save.
That’s about it.
MyPopBarrier looks a bit like a list of email messages in an email app. About the only option worth mentioning is the one to delete a message from the server.
You’ll still need to setup PopMyBarrier to log in to each email account you have, and it’s not likely you’ll use the app too often. Once you’ve cleaned out all the email messages you don’t want to keep, you’ll have to let messages build up again.
It couldn’t be easier to use, either. Login to your email accounts, check the messages you want to delte, then click the Purge button.
It’s a simple, easy, free way to finally remove all those email messages that have been hanging around.
