How can you find out? The TrafficBot app knows.
This well designed little traffic monitor sits in your Mac’s Menubar, and with a single click, gives you a graphic and numerical rundown of your Mac’s network usage. The gauge is simple to figure out, and displays total usage in a rolling or fixed period of time.
It’s also smart enough to give you an alert when your usage reaches a certain limit. Click the Mac’s Menubar and this is what you get.
TrafficBot’s Preferences are straightforward and traffic monitoring is location based. That means you can monitor traffic at home, at the office, and on the road.
The graph is detachable so you can position it onscreen and see current usage in real time. There’s also an option to watch only internet traffic (as opposed to local home or office network traffic) so Time Machine and file transfer traffic between Macs will be excluded.
This is one traffic monitoring app that works well out of the box (so to speak) and is quickly configured.
