The Mac’s Desktop can be similarly managed by more folders. Even better is a simple way to manage all those loose files, documents, photos, and more by shoving them all into Desktop Groups. This is different than creating additional folders which cannot be seen unless you open the folder.
Desktop Groups come with their own heading which you create. Then, related files can be added to each by drag and drop. You’ve never seen anything quite like this on your Mac.
Take a look. Simple, right?
Groups can be moved around on the screen and resized by dragging an edge or corner.
Rename a Group by double-clicking on the titlebar. Or, change the Group headings color.
Desktop Groups has a few additional options you’ll like. Adjust the grid size. Change the background color and hide the reflection. And adjust the title opacity.
If your Mac’s Desktop is cluttered with files, but those are files you use frequently (which doesn’t do any good to dump them into folders), Desktop Groups is another way to organize without complexity.
