This quotable was uttered by Graeme Edge, drummer for the legendary Moody Blues, at a concert in Huntsville, Alabama last night. Wasn’t Huntsville one of Spinal Tap’s venues? Anyway, here’s the quote:
This used to mean peace in the 60s, Edge said, holding up his two fingers to form a V. Now, it means Viagra. It doesn’t really matter that the drug of choice has changed because it’s still sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll.
Actually, the Huntsville Times reporter reviewing the concert was pretty quotable himself:
Here’s the funny thing. The band had been playing less than an hour, but the bathroom lines for both men and women were out the doors and into the hallways. As one concert-goer aptly stated, you know it’s an older concert when the lines for the bathrooms are longer than the lines for the alcohol.
Okay, now that one really hurts.
