You're right, especially about the part that it should be built into the Mac OS!

It could also be useful in Apple's iOS and all the i-devices!

Hello and thanks for this note.
I want to recommend another cool app for posting stuff on social sites.
It's freeware and called clickto, available for mac and pc.
The idea behind that little tool is to expand the copy-paste action. After copying anthing anywhere clickto will show up some little buttons called satellites. These satellites will give some possibilities for the user where the copied content can be posted/pasted.
So take a picture, copy it and select flickr (you have to enter your login data once) and clickto will do the rest and upload it on your account.
If you're interested check this site:

Another app that tracks your time in apps is <a href="http://plumamazing.com" title="iClock" rel="nofollow">iClock</a>.

Its a better clock than the one in OS X and in addition allows you to customize the font, size, color, up in the menubar. The crucial item for me is it shows all the timezones you want when you click on the menu. This way at a glance you can see the time in your choice of cities in the world. It has a very quick calendar, moon phase in the menu, list of time spent in apps, stop watch, timer, alarms, stock portfolio and much more. All can be easily turned off or on and in the menubar or not. Loads of features, great user interface and just plain handy.

All good choices. Browser RSS readers don't give enough options to make them really useful, except to extreme RSS newbies. The ability to scan through a hundred web sites in minutes is worth a few bucks. So is the option to sync with Google Reader, though I'm beginning to think that giving Google access to what I read may not be good for me in the future. I'd like to get off Google's grid.
