Our family is scattered across the country. We keep in touch via the usual ways. iPhone and FaceTime. Text messaging. Email. Twitter. Facebook. By far, the most popular way is the iPhone. Second is Facebook. Why? Video clips. It’s too easy to take a video clip and upload it to Facebook with the right app.
VideoUpLink Uploads Video (duh)
The whole idea behind sharing videos is ease of use. If there’s a requirement to jump through hoops, the joy is lost. VideoUpLink for the Mac is similar to the VideoUpLink for iPhone version.
Simply put, it’s an app that uploads a video clip to Facebook. Set it up with your Facebook account information. Then, drag and drop a video to VideoUpLink. Click the Upload button.
That’s about as painless as you can get. The iPhone version of VideoUpLink is similar but has additional FTP (file transfer protocol) features.
The benefit with either app is obvious. Quick and mostly painless uploads to Facebook of video clips, Mac or iPhone.
Family members and friends get updated with the upload. It’s not FaceTime, but it’s just as easy, and no need to worry about opening up Facebook in a browser window.
